4 project "Inspiring schools - aspiring students" was founded on the belief that the school should encourage students’ holistic development and that it should go beyond subject boundaries and school curriculum. Our aim is to provide students with a range of inspiring activities whose goal is to develop children’s responsibility and active citizenship by participation in a school parliament. That will create the need for team work, tolerance, expressing opinions, constructive dialogue and compromise. We want to make primary school the first experience of democracy for students, where they are actively involved in decision making. Charity events included in the project will raise students’ awareness of social issues, both local and global, and will strengthen their sense of initiative since children will have the opportunity to respond in a conscious and creative way.
Our partnership consists of five elementary schools and one secondary school. Some schools are small and located in villages, other are situated in big cities. The coordinating Polish school’s objectives foster students talents and potentials. The students of Kumport Secondary School in Istanbul achieve numerous success in national sport competitions.
