In May we had a very interesting activity for the students of our center from 1st to 4th grade. It was the attendance to a theatrical representation of the work "Shrek", the famous animated film. Our students had a great time, especially singing and dancing songs. It was an unforgettable experience for them. Thanks to the theatrical group, who were secondary students from an Institute near our school.

In the last week of May our school organized for the first time "The Festival of Bread". Each class had to prepare a stall where they sold various types of baking: bread, cakes, buns, doughnuts and so on and so forth. Its purpose was to collect money to fund a monument of the Siberian mother. It was also an opportunity to meet the survivor of the deportation to Siberia, learn more about bread, write poems about mothers, meet a dietician.

Italy
The first classes visited the Toy Museum in Bagheria, near Palermo. A trip back in time! In an odd and unreal atmosphere, about 1600 toys and a collection of ancient waxworks have found an almost natural location, telling a world in which fantasy still inspired children's games and dreams.
The museum was born with the aim to educate children on interculturality. Through the game and the "virtual journey over time", Pietro Piraino, the owner of the museum, wants to create a bridge through which solidarity and acceptance of diversity can be travelled.
It was a nice experience for everybody. It was interesting to hear the story of the birth of the museum made by Mr. Piraino. Through the story of his life we travelled over time, knew daily life pages of Sicily dating back to his childhood. We can never forget the toy gun jealously kept in the museum, donated to him by a Jew Frenchman, soin order that he could tell everyone the story of his younger brother killed by the Nazis in an extermination camp during the second world war.
