Highlights of the month - October
Poland
From the 11th to 13th October 2016 our school, once again, took part in an innovative educational project Enjoy my origin organized and led by an international student organization AIESEC.
Esther and Keti, students from Nigeria and Georgia, gave our students interesting lessons during which they presented basic facts about their countries, their culture and customs. Children could see what Esther and Keti's countries look like, they learnt what were Nigerian and Georgian traditional dishes and national costumes, and many more. They also got to know a few words in Nigerian dialects and Georgian language (it was sooo difficult! and fun at the same time).
Before these classes our students knew hardly anything about these two countries but they were leaving the classroom with many beautiful images of what Nigeria and Georgia are like.

Cyprus
The 1st of October is a national holiday for us here in Cyprus. We celebrate the proclamation of the Cyprus Government. On 16th of August 1960, Cyprus attained independence after the Zürich and London Agreement between the United Kingdom, Greece and Turkey.
The students of the 6th grade organized an event consisted of songs, poems and theatrical plays to present the history of our island to the rest of the school.
