SCHOOL COUNCIL TRIP
Our school council decided to make old people happy and held a trip to old people's house. School council representatives from every class prepared some home-made food for these nice people. They also bought some presents to make them happy. The happiness was worth seeing. They were very eager to share their stories and experiences with our students. Our students had unforgettable times and they promised tocvisit them soon again.
The teacher who inspires me...
Our students finished to write about their essays about teachers. They described their role model who inspires them. According to them teachers sometimes replace their parents by touching and shaping their lives. They are like candles which consume themselves to light the way to students. They think that a good teacher should be understanding, inspiring, friendly, clever as well as being knowledgeable.
SCHOOL COUNCIL ELECTION IN OUR DISTRICT, BAHÇELİEVLER
School councils have started to become very active in our city. Bahçelievler Municipality organized a meeting where the school council representatives of every school in Bahçelievler were invited. The students had the chance to be heard and also to speak out about their school experiences. All the representatives held speeches. Our school council representative Atakan was also there. He delivered his speech too. Afterwards, all the school representatives voted for a student to represent our district, Bahçelievler. At the end of the election a boy from a high school was decided to represent our district. Finally, he will join the elections where Istanbul representative will be chosen. We wish him good luck!
CHRISTMAS HAT
Our students prepared colorful Christmas hats to sell at our New year Bazaar. Here are some pictures if you want to have one.

We finally carried out the school charity event with the theme of New Year. Of course, our school council was in charge of this mission. They decided to donate the money collected to 2 friends who suffer from cancer. Unfortunatey, they can not continue their education due to their treatment. We are looking forward to their arrival. Here are the photos from the beautiful product done by our students:
It required a huge struggle, but it worths. We collected 700 TL to be given to our friends. We are very happy to be able to contribute to their treatment.

A DAY IN SCHOOL
Everyone has a story about different times in their lives, but school memories are unforgettable ones. Our students told us their stories through a competition called "A day in school." We announced the competition on our Erasmus bulletin board. Many students competed with eachother to write the best story about their one day at school. Finally, two of our students were announced to be winners. Later, they got their awards from our Turkish teacher Birgul Koç who was the main organizator of this event.
SAME AND DIFFERENT (SPAIN)
Board or Smartboard? At school, they use board with projection but we use smartboards in our school (as all parts of Turkey). They are very useful, and they can be used not only as a board but also as a computer. (ipek, TURKEY)
Cool Traffic The traffic in Sevilla and Dos Hermanas is very steady. When you want to cross the way, you don't have to wait for long minutes because all the cars stop for you despite of the traffic lights. But in Istanbul ( you know, it is very crowded city😉) it is a problem.( ipek, TURKEY)
Delicious meals🌼 Turkey is a Mediterranean country like Spain. Therefore, our some meals are smilar. For example; rice- chickpea and spinach:) Also they use garlic as much as us:)
Orange Trees We saw lots of orange trees everywhere. They smell wonderful. In Turkey, they can be grown only Mediterranean region so we love these trees very much. When we arrive there, we felt ourselves at home❤❤❤ ( Elif, TURKEY)
Excellent Friendship❤ Spanish people are very friendly and they can share all their love clearly:)Turkish people are also very friendly and hospitable.I think, we are same in this regard. They always smile like us😉
Carpets or Not In Turkey, we use carpets mostly at home; therefore, we can' t wear our shoes. It is a traditional thought but it must be a healthy life:)But Spanish people don' t use carpets ( maybe some of them) it is very interesting for us:) (Mustafa, TURKEY)
WORLD FOOD DAY
World food day was celebrated in our school with various activities. In effort to spread awareness about the importance of reducing food waste, we held some campaigns. ‘SAVE THE FOOD’ Firstly, we created a campaign called SAVE THE FOOD.Our school council was responsible of announcing the campaign to other students. They hung up some posters on the walls of the school about the upcoming day.On the day of the event students carried posters about saving food in the school garden
Some of the students were responsible of attaching tags on things that students bought from the school canteen. The tags read some slogans such as save the food, don’t waste your bread, 'Do you know everyyear thousands of children die of hunger?', etc.
Some students visited classes with their posters. They held speeches emphasizing the importance of the day
MIRACLE OF BREAD Our students also held a competition called ‘Miracle of Bread’ to raise awareness on food waste. Our students were very excited for the chance to show off their culinary skills in order to create miracles with stale bread. We were very surprised to see many kinds of food made by stale bread. Our students held speeches and read poems about the importance of the day.
We asked some of our teachers to be the jury, but their task was really difficult.
The winners were the ‘bread dessert with cherry sauce’ and ‘çerkez chicken
We awarded the winners with steel saucepans to cook better food for us:)
Inspired by the idea of recycling food, our students also decided to recycle the household items. They created very beautiful hand-made ornaments by using old lamps, cartons, papers, pegs, mirrors, glasses, etc. The result was great. They held a small exhibition for their friends to come and see.

GOOD OLD GAMES
When our students heard that their grandparents would be invited to school to display their old games, they were very impatient to offer them to share their games with their friends. It was great experience for our students to be able to find the chance of playing these games for the first time with the elders. The grantparents said that they were so happy that they could turn back to their old days with these games.
The grandparents made up a leaflet to pass on their grandchildren and other students.
